I got a fabulous offer from Marriott Vacation club in the mail yesterday and would love to take advantage of it, but it involves a 90-minute sales presentation. How awful will this be? :confused3 Thanks for your help! :)

We did a presentation for Marriott in Ft Lauderdale and it wasn't a hard sell at all. Of course we had the three kids with us and they were all young so that may have helped. ;) The saleswoman was probably glad to be rid of us:lmao: But I really have nothing to compare it to as that was the only one we have ever done.

Thanks. We weren't planning on going this year but what they have offered is really almost impossible to turn down. Looks like we're going to Disney! :woohoo:

MrsJacksparrow: What was your deal? We also rec'd a deal. It is for $249 for 4 nights and two 7 day universal passes. When I called they had nothing for dates I requested. They did offer other deals, 1. the grand vista for 4ni (i forget which room type) and 1 day tickets to Seaworld but 4 tickets. For $399.

that seem high: That is $100 per night and one day to seaworld for for 4 can be had pretty cheaply with codes.

they also offerred us 2. 2 bedrm in Horizons or Cypress resorts in Orlando for $299 with a $50 voucher for theme parks. That also seems High. Does anyone know are these deals set in stone or should you negotiate?

I've done a number of timeshare presentations and I have to say that Marriott was the easiest to get through. They were highly professional and did not harrass me at all once I said that I was not buying right then. Of course, the 90 minutes was more like 120 but I always budget that extra 1/2 hour. Once the "timer" gets there, I make myself perfectly clear about not purchasing and, if necessary, and yes, it has become necessary more than once:rotfl2: , I've had to be as rude as they become. A deal is a deal. You get me for 90 minutes and I get.... So far, no one has convinced me that timeshare is a good investment but that's for another thread:rotfl:
