We stayed at the Marriott Royal Palms December 16-23, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were in a 2-bedroom condo, for which we'd swapped a week of time share (Interval International). We'd do it again in a heartbeat.

The check-in process was smooth and friendly; no complaints. The lobby was fairly ordinary, and the mini-store fairly sparse, but no matter . . . we didn't really spend any time there, having stopped for groceries en route.

The condo itself was fabulous. The master bedroom is a good size, complete with a comfortable jacuzzi tub with plenty of room for one. There's also a small bathroom off the master bedroom, with toilet and shower. The other bedroom is fairly small, but fine for a kid (or low-maintainence adult), with a full-size bed and daybed (a small child could sleep on the daybed). There's a a door in the small hallway outside the secondary bedroom and bathroom, so they can be somewhat closed off from the rest of the condo.

The living room and kitchen have an open layout, with a dining room in between.

The kitchen was ample and had all the basics: stove, fridge, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster. The laundry room was near the condo's front door. If you close the laundry room door, you won't hear the dryer in the rest of the condo.

There's a screened-in porch, which in our case overlooked the golf course. Very relaxing.

There were a couple tiny cosmetic issues . . . a bit of frayed carpet, a small scorch on the side of a kitchen counter. I didn't really notice them until day 2 or 3.

Marriott lists this condo as sleeping 6, which it could if you don't mind sleeping 2 out in the living room (there's a pull-out sofa), or putting a smaller person on the daybed in the secondary bedroom. It's definitely very comfortable for three or four!

I hope we get the chance to stay there again. It really worked out for us.

Sounds like a great place to stay- thank you for the review. This one is going to make my list of possible offsite places.

We stayed here in 2005. We loved it. It is very close to Disney and Wal-mart is just down the road so you can stock up on anything you need from food to clothes to pens for autographs. We are looking to stay here again for our next trip (which should be within 6 months) :cool1:

The rooms are very spacious, and having the refridge was a life saver. We froze the water bottles in the freezer and then took them to the parks so we could have cold water until about noon. When we went in 05 our DD's were 3 and 1 so we came back for naps in the afternoon and then headed right back out after they woke up. I don't think the drive is more than 5-7 min from any of the 4 parks. Plus it is right on I-4 and about 3 exits away from Sea World.

House keeping was great, I accidentally dropped a glass and broke it. Called them and they cleaned it up no problem. Every request we made was handled very well. And they have free WiFi so we were able to email pics of the day to our friends and family. We didn't try out the pool but we plan on doing that this time. The view from our room was the golf course which was very nice. I recommend this place and plan to use it on most of our trips back.

We stayed at Imperial Palms for two weeks last summer, (which is the three-bedroom section down on the end) and found it dreadful. We have been owners at Cypress harbour since 1990, and this is the first time we have ever been disappointed with any of the Marriott properties. The pool was substandard, the room was at the end of its useful life, and the construction activity was staggering. Nevertheless, it is the place to be if you have to have a bidet.

Any recent reviews on Marriott Royal Palms?

We are going in 2 weeks and I had a few questions...

How is the pool? Is there a paticular section that I might want to request?

Is coffee/cream/sugar supplied, or do I need to pack?

How is the shuttle to/from the MOWC?

Is there a poolside bar/restaurant at the RP?

anything I should know?

TIA!
