Marriott property near WDW

Hoping to use marriott points for a couple of nights pre cruise. Arriving on a Thursday, doing a park day on Friday and leaving Port Canaveral on Saturday.

Can anyone recommend a good Marriott property that is either close to the parks or even downtown Disney? Must have a good pool.

I know there is a Residence Inn by Marriott in Lake Buena Vista. No more than 2 miles from Disney property. It's on Marbella Palm Ct. I have stayed at this property before and it was fine. We actually stayed there for a few weeks when we first moved to the area.

They do have free shuttle service to the parks, though it only goes and picks up at EPCOT a few times per day, so that is pretty inconvenient. However, you are only like two miles from Disney property so you can drive if need be. They are a Disney Good Neighbor property as well.

I would say the pool is ok, nothing "over the top" resort style, though we did not use it when we were there. Here is a link to the property:

Gaylord Palms...they are a mariott and have an awesome pool! And right by 417 to hop on to go to the port.

Marriott World Center had a pretty awesome pool (but the slides closed early). They were very close to downtown disney

Closest is the Marriott World Center or Gaylord Palms. Both are fine, and have good pools. Nicest Marriott properties in Orlando are the Ritz Carlton and JW Marriott at Grande Lakes. It's a little further, but worth the extra drive, in my opinion.

it's not as close to wdw and DTD as the world center hotel (and palms timeshares on the world center property).

it's arguably the least "nice" of the orlando marriott timeshares. clean and well run but no granite countertops unless they have very recently refurbed.

it does have a nice pirate ship-pool play area for kids, though, yes.
