Marriott near Sea World

Has anyone stayed here? What did you think. Looks nice on the website. We are staying here 2 nights before we go to a Disney resort. The girl also said it was walking distance, approx. 5-7 minutes. Is this correct?

There are lots of Marriott's. Are you talking about Marriott Harbour Lakes (formerly Horizons). It is very close to Sea World and I could give you info about that. There is another Marriott property across the street (Cypress harbour-I think). Let us know which Marriott.

That's right, there are three Marriott timeshare resorts - Cypress Harbour, Harbour Lake and Grande Vista - and a least a couple of Marriott hotels - a Residence Inn and a Renaissance resort hotel - in the area that neighbors SeaWorld. All but the Grande Vista location are easily walkable to SeaWorld with the Renaissance just across the street from the parking lot, the Residence Inn no more than a 10 minute walk and Cypress Harbour and Harbour Lake about 10 to 15 minutes away.

hey grande vista is closer than the other two. the walking entrance is in the front of SW and GV is closer to the front.

so the timeshares are pretty close.

that say the closest timeshare is Hilton Grand vacation club - it is across the street from SW and next to DC.

Sorry! It is actually the Residence Inn Orlando Sea World/International Center which is on Westwood Blvd.

I would say that the non timeshare resorts are walkable. Grande Vista would be a hike with no sidewalks. Not sure about the sidewalk situation for Harbour Lake and Cypress Harbour (they are right across the street from each other). They would be a bit of a hike also. Of all of them, the Renaissance would be the closest walk to the gates.

We are staying at the Fairfield Inn in June for two one night, though we are not going to SeaWorld.

We stayed at the Residence Inn Sea World for one night last summer. It is nice and quick drive to Sea World. While I have no complaints about the place, I thought the pics on the website looked nicer then the place actually is. Like the pool seems a lot bigger in the pictures then what it was. The rooms were a nice size and clean, staff was pleasant and check in quick. The kids loved having a separate bedroom. The price was right when we went. Found a special through Marriott that included 2 days of Sea World park passes and a Shamu stuffed animal for each kid. Oh yes, there was a free hot breakfast. The food was good, however, very crowded and the hotel closed one of the lines (there are two food lines) the closer it got to the end of the breakfast hour. However, there were still a ton of people and it got really backed up.

I just booked Hilton grand vacay and it is right by sea world...

looked at Marriott grand vista too...it is also really close...but decided on Hilton...got a one bedroom suite for 116.00 a night!

I called directly.......he asked if I were perhaps a AAA member I said no...then he told me they had a managers special for 116 a night for the suite...if you book online and pay right then it is 119.00 which is still pretty good...
