marriott lakeshore reserve or Grand vista?

We originally wanted to stay at lakeshore reserve, but it was full so we went with grand vista. After reading more about grand vista it sounds like it might be better for us... we will be traveling with our 1 and 3yr olds. and it sounds like Grand vista is is more kid friendly. we have decided to change when we are going on our vacay(from May to Sept) and i wondering if I should see if we could get into lakeshore reserve (we wanted a 3 bedroom townhouse) or if we should just book at grand vista. Any suggestions? also does anyone know if either locations have covered balconies like they do at cypress harbor? Thanks!

My brother in law and his family are at the grand vista right now and we went and checked out their place. It is really nice. They are in a 2 bedroom with 2 baths. There was a larger screened in balcony off the living area and a smaller one off the smaller bedroom. Nice views from both of the lake. We liked it so much we are thinking of trying it next time we go. Hope that helps

Last year we did a two week trip with one week in each of these Marriotts. Lakeshore Reserve is brand new so very nice with terrific rooms. The resort is very small as only a portion of it is built. There is one main pool and it has one portion with a zero entry. Pool slide which your children might be too young for (I think it was 42" height restriction).

The Grande Vista is a huge, sprawling resort. We only stayed on our half of it and used the Del Sol plaza pool, which we stayed near. It had a much better toddler pool/water play area. It had a very large MAZE and lots of children's activities. Our building (77) was recently refurbished and very nice, just not quite as nice as Lakeshore Reserve.

We liked both resorts and would take an exchange into either one of them again.
