Currently I have a reservation for August at the Spring Hill Suites at the Marriott Village, using all points, so it's not costing us anything, but its looking like we will have more points than we thought, any other suggestions for Marriott Hotels in the Disney area that are nicer, etc.
We are a family of 5.

There are lots of nice Marriott properties in the Disney area - have you ever read the flyertalk boards? There are usually several threads there comparing the Orlando area Marriotts.

Myself I would probably stay at the Village and then use the extra points for another trip! The village area is nice.

What's the flyer talk board?

So I will not be disappointed in the Marriott Village, Spring Hill Suite, specifically.

Our family of 5 just returned from Marriott Cypress Harbour and we loved it. The two bedrooms and the kitchen/washer/dryer really made for a lot of convenience and the resort itself is beautiful.

We stayed at the Courtyard at Marriott Village on points. We usually stay onsite at Disney, but we liked it very much. The food court was pretty good, it is very close to Disney, and the pools were nice. The Courtyard has a small kid room area that my daughter enjoyed. The Marriott World Center is great but it would be a huge increase in points. Unless you went to the World Center or a timeshare property you are probably better off at the Village. We have stayed in a couple of older Marriott properties in Orlando that were not as nice as the Village Complex.

We always stay at the Marriot World using points. They have the big hotel and then they have 2 and 3 bedroom suites - we've stayed at both of these and you won't be disappointed. The pool area at the World is huge and beautiful with a water slide and activities to keep the kids busy. I love this property and its 5 minutes from Disney. Good Luck

Cypress harbour is great, very family friendly and you can stretch out and eat at home if you want to. great kids programs and pools. We are going to grande vista in august--it is incredible can't wait!! think about whether you want a great resort or a place to stay. there is a big differnce we wanted a great resort this time as we are planning less time in the parks. have fun!

I'm still looking to maybe change our reservations. It would be nice to have a two bedroom, not that we'll spend time there.

Neither the Orlando World nor Cypress harbour has rooms available, but the Marriott Granda Vista has available rooms with points (150,000), any feedback, how close to disney?

thanks!
