Marriott Hotel Question

I was just checking with the Marriott hotel web site for rooms for our next trip.

I found 2. They are the same rate. The only difference is the actual room.

But I'm wondering about distance to the parks. The one is Residence Inn Anaheim Maingate at 1700 South Clementime Street. It has 2 bds, sofa bed, kitchen and hot brk. A bit of a walk but do able with older kids (12-16 yrs) It says 1.5 blocks away.

The other is Residence Inn Anaheim Resort Area/Garden Groce. 11931 Harbor Boulevard. This one has all that but an extra bathroom & Managers Reception with drinks and food Mon - Thurs. Which would be a great savings on food costs if we had it as a light supper. Than we would only need to each a decent lunch each of those days. With 6 people I would also love the extra bathroom. It says 4 blocks away. A book I have says it has a free shuttle service.

Do anyone know if either has it's own shuttle service ? or if it the first one is really walking distance, (really only 1.5 blocks). I don't want to take the Art if I can get a hotel that has it's own shuttle.

we have stayed at the resort Marriott, here is what I think
The room is great Very clean , great size , the extra bathroom is wonderfull , more then 1 person being able to shower is so great.
The staff is very friendly.
The breakfast food was very good and there was plenty to choose from.
The evening is more of a snack , the only things I remember was one night was egg rolls and one night meatballs.
There is a full kitchen if that helps .
There is no free shuttle , but ART picks up right in front. My info had the free shuttle listed also , but that is not true .
If I was not staying on site I would stay there again 100 %.
Oh they have a basketball court there , my sons loved that!

Thanks for your reply. That does sound like a good place to stay. We are considering it because of the larger room.

Has anyone stayed at the maingate one ? Is it walking distance ?

We have stayed at the RI Maingate twice now and would stay there again.
We get the penthose suite. Very large, love to have the full kitchen, king bed in the loft, two bathrooms. Always clean, BB court, busy pool, laundry room.
Very nice warm breakfast, something for everyone. The walk is about 15 munutes max, depends on how you walk. ART entrance right outside. Very helpful staff.
