Marriott Horizons

Not yet. I'm booked at the end of April. I'll post a review then if that helps at all.

Hi,

We've stayed there twice and LOVED IT!!!! The beds are very comfortable, the villas are in a Key West theme. The pool area is a pirate theme with slides and a giant ship for the kids to play on. There is a separate water-park like interactive area. This is everyone's favorite place to stay.

madscrapper,When you went was there a lazy river or did you notice one being built and about when did you go???Thanks!:smooth: :smooth: :smooth: :smooth:

For those of you staying at Marriott Horizons, how did you get your ressies? Did you go through Marriott itself or did you go through a site on the web? We toured the timeshare last year and really liked it and would like to stay there in late April. Thank you!

Does anyone have any more specific info about the suites there? My parents are vacation club members there and we are staying for our first time (both my family and my parents) in Nov. We are wondering about crib availability (we will have a 6 m.o. baby) and exactly what kitchen utensils are in the suite so we can plan our grocery list. It may sound silly to be worried about this so early, but I'm a planner and having a baby at the end of May which I know will derail my planning frenzy for several weeks thereafter.:D

We own there and have stayed 6 weeks in the past two years. The villas are 1048sf 2bd/2ba. The first bedroom has a king size bed and the 2nd has 2 queen beds. There are 3 tvs in the suite.

You can request a crib. They provide pack and plays for no additional charge. I also request a high chair.

They have a full kitchen with service for 8. The equipment is a toaster, blender, coffee maker, microwave, full refrig, full stove with oven, and dishwasher. We have made cookies so they have cookie sheets, also have pyrex dishes, fry pan, pots, etc. You can call if you need more details.

When I am searching Mariott.com - I cant seem to find this place.... on the internet..

Does anybody knows a homepage adress with lots of pictures of the resort ?

wuv tigger-
THANKS! That's exactly the info I needed. I hadn't even thought about the high chair yet.:D

Pigletandpooh,
There is no lazy river at Horizons. The Pirate Ship is at one end of the pool - almost kidney shape - that is zero depth entry. The pool then gradually gets deeper until 4 or 5 feet at the opposite end.

We toured the place a few weeks ago. Very nice and new but the two bedroom units are smaller then those I have stayed at. The Cypress harbour units are significantly bigger. No wirlpool tub at Horizons and you'll hear i4 since it is right there. A number of construction projects going on. It was a nice place and I would stay there but I would prefer Cypress harbor or the Grande Vista.
