I did a review of my stay there last year, but I don't quite know where it went! Anyway, I've stayed in a dedicated 2br unit twice now, and absolutely loved the resort!
I requested a high floor, which was very quiet. We overlooked a lake, which made a really nice view (we own Marriott at Ko Olina, and my DH is Marriott Platinum, so I know they give us a bit higher priority than some others, except for Harbour Lake owners). So I would request those - overlook the lake and high floor.
The resort itself is nice and small - which I liked!
Next time, I would plan on grilling dinner at least once or twice - they have some gas grills. We don't tend to spend tons of times at the theme parks, since we've been so many times. We like to enjoy the resort as well.
When we went last, we did Sea World (my kids weren't too thrilled with that park, not going back anytime soon, but it is so super close) and Discovery Cove (loved it!), so we had lots of extra time. One day my DD signed up for a fun little painting activity at the resort - she painted a lizard and got a nice little souvenir. It's nice that they have activities for the kids being a small resort - there were several kids there at the time.
The only food option is at the bar area, with simple sandwiches and salads. Also pizza can be delivered from Cypress Harbor across the street - did that a couple of times! I also called down to order sandwiches, so they had it ready and packed up for me to bring back up to the room for us.
I stopped at Super Target on the way from the airport for groceries. One night we had frozen family-size Stouffers meatloaf, fresh new potatoes, and salad for dinner - it was nice to have simple food (easy to make) - also I got cookie dough (the kind you just break off and bake) so the kids liked fresh cookies in the condo!
I hope you have a great time! I loved Harbour Lake!
