Marriott Grande Vista

Glad to hear the Marriott Grande Vista is a good place.
We will be there the beginning of Sept 2002 and can't wait. One thing though, since its a vacation club place, do you have to sit through a sales pitch? We went a few years ago and stayed at Westgate Villas.....great place, but felt like we were being held captive until we signed up for a timeshare (we didn't--and they seemed annoyed they "wasted" their time on us).

If you booked through Marriott and staying there at a nightly rate you are staying just like any other hotel stay. If you are on a deeply discounted package you probably will have to go through the presentation but don't worry - Marriott is one of the more low pressure one's. Grand Vista is beautiful - enjoy!
