It will be me and my wife. We like being at the pool (heated). Really like live poolside entertainment and a tiki bar. Large hot tub is a plus. Which resort would you pick? Thanks.

GV has a more adult "sterile" (not sure if thats the right word but it's the one that comes to mind) feel to it.

CH has a more family feel.

If you golf GV has a deal in the afternoon. Although the course that runs through CH was a fun track.

Kid-less I think I'd pick GV over CH, I'm pretty sure we're staying at CH again this fall.

Grand Vista has a heated pool with a large bar area that also serves food. They often have entertainment in the evening...dj, hula dancing, acoustic guitar player. Great resort!

Stayed there 2 in the past 2 summers! Love that resort!
Very Kid friendly while being very sophisticated as well. You can be in Sea World in 7 minutes and DTD in 12 minutes barring no traffic issues!

Uhh, which one?

I would recommend the Grande Vista over Cypress Harbour for 2 adults. We have stayed at both resorts. If I had to pick between the 2, I would choose the GV. We had a great room there overlooking the golf course, that was a quick walk to the pool area.

I've never stayed at Cypress Harbour, but I can't say enough nice things about Marriott Grande Vista. Terrific hot tub and amazing poolside bar-- great drinks in pineapples :goodvibes and great food. The prices for the bar-style appetizers really aren't bad at all, and the portion sizes are great. It was so nice coming back to the resort after a long day at the parks, sliding into the hot tub, enjoying a drink, and munching on some terrific food. Definitely gets two thumbs up from us.

Stayed at both in the last two years. As a family we all prefer Grande Vista. It has a really cool zero entry water play pool. I like the fact that the villas at GV have no front window off the front walkway. Kind of creeped me out about CH that my kids were staying in the front room far from the Master suite and there was a big old window in their room right off the walkway. JMO.

We lived in Orlando and after moving, have only stayed at Grande Vista but now prefer Wyndham's Bonnet Creek Resort. It's located on Disney property across from Carribean Beach. Close to Downtown Dis, Boardwalk, Epcot, Studios and Wide World of Sports. Easy hop on I-4 to SeaWorld, Universal, malls or Celebration. Newer than Grande Vista, offers 2 lazy river pools, several jacuzzi and standard pools, ping-pong, fitness, on-site activity schedule, live entertainment and several walking paths. Plus, free (?) bus transportation to Disney. Rented from owners thru Redweek or Ebay, they offer 3,5 or 7 night stays so you can split your stay between DVC or other resorts, and Bonnet Creek.
