Marriott Grande Vista - New Pool??

Hi all. Does anyone know if there will be a new pool complex at the Marriott Grande Vista and if so, what it will involve...slides, etc? I 'thought' I read somewhere they were working on it to be completed this summer. Thank you!

Currently, there is some construction activity going on at the resort related to the development of the West Village. The first phase of the West Village, which is scheduled to be completed in June 2004, will have 90 villas, as well as an exciting 28,000 square foot multi tiered pool complex with a full service pool bar & grill. The balance of the West Village is scheduled to be completed in January 2006. Construction activity typically takes place Monday through Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and some existing villas do have a view of the construction area.

When we were there last summer we did see the drawings of the new pool area. It is supposed to include water cannon towers and a poolside bar and grill

Thanks, Harryo... Has anyone heard anything about slides? Would love more detail since considering staying offsite.

I have also been looking for more detail because we'll be staying at Grande Vista this summer 7/3 to 7/12. All I can find is that the pool area and two additional buildings will be open by June.

We took the timeshare tour last week and they are buidling a new pool area in the 2005 construction area. It probably won't be ready until next year, as it looked like it was just started....unless that was a totally different area....The pool they have already is amazing

I'd call and ask.

Thanks Hillbeans I' ll probably do that. Although it's amazing how much can be done in 3 months.
