Hi - I confirmed my reservation (timeshare exchange) today for the 3rd of September checkin date.

I was hoping you could help me decide what (if anything) I should request (bldg wise). I am a solo traveler, and other than requesting a nonsmoking villa (allergic to smoke) I wasn't sure if there is an area that may not be as busy with children (figured this would cut down on noise). I am planning on requesting a villa farther away from the construction area, but not sure where it is.

Also, is there anything like the Diamond Lane (at Vistana) here? If so, how do I sign up for it/where do I go?

Can anyone help me please!!!

Thanks,
Monica

Monica,

We stayed in building 91 called "Denia" non-smoking, overlooking a quiet pool, golf course and water.

It was very peaceful and we enjoyed our stay very much. It was a 5 minute or so walk to the main pool/lobby/deli/store.

This building is on the opposite side of the construction. THere are some buildings which face just the golf course as well.

We were there in May and stayed in non-smoking building 82. It was great for us because we had kids with us and it was very close the the main hub/pool/food, but if you're looking to be in a quieter section I wouldn't recommend it. Main pool got quite crowded and you could see/hear the construction across the lagoon.

we will be there on 7/23 and we just called and requested building 91 as suggested by Lorix. I will post while I am there and let you know how it is.

Thanks for the responses....

Do they have a quick checkin line (like the Diamond Lane at Vistana)?

Thanks again!
Monica

no - but the marriott lines move very fast.

I like building 95 or 97.

the new part will be opened - so you may be over there.

make sure when you check in that you tell the front desk that you don't want to be near lots of children (if at all possible) - they will put where the adults are located.

make sure (and I mean this) that you bring some pool shoes - this part of the resort was just messy - they told me it was because of the carts - inside the resort was clean - not a problem here - but walking by and forth to the pool - well get some pool shoes and remember to bring them.

Disney jets cleans this area on a weekly basis - I don't know why the Marriott can't do the same.....
