I have a chance to get a week at the Marriott Grand Vista but I'm not sure it is the right place for me. I will be traveling with my family. Kids are 14, 11, 4. I usually like a family resort and I don't play golf. We were in Orange lakes this year and I wasn't happy with it. Too big. Had to take the car to get to the main area where the pools were. When I stayed at the Vistana or the HGVC everything was within walking distance. I suspect that the MGV will be similar to Orange Lakes in that it will be too big although I'm sure it will be much nicer. Thoughts? thanks

Not I love this place - it is set up much better - even mother (in her 80's) had no problem walking from the 90's building to the front desk area.

they have several swimming pools - I really enjoyed this place - it reminds me alot of Disney's OKW - but much better organized - oh this is high rise type building - so if you don't like heights make sure you get a lower condo - it is lovely - you probably won't have to drive to get around it - but you will have to drive to get to the parks - it is back a far away from the road - not close to the action. You will definitely need a car to get to other places - so don't think you can get by without having one. they have a bus but I think it is for rent - like $12.50 - don't know if per person or per villa did not ask.

this is a beautiful place - you will love it!

what are you trading to get this?

thanks Pat. We will be getting a car, I just don't like having to get into the car if I just want to go for a swim. This will be a purchase, not a trade.

don't buy in Orlando - sorry as much as I love the Marriott and I do -

Orlando is very easy to trade too -

buy in an area that you like to visit.

also don't buy WIlliamsburg, Branson and one other I don't remember....

But it will get you in the Marriott system and that is a really great system....

go to this site

www.tug2.net
it will cost you $15 to join - there is a board for Marriott - that will point you in the right direction. to post on the board you don't have to join. to read the reviews you do.

Pat, we are looking at just purchasing the week. They are asking $950. Two bedroom.

when are you going

www.tug2.net

also have a rental board - look on it

also try

www.skyauction.com

however Marriott will never appear on this site - this is run by RCI and Marriott are II (Interval International)

you are renting for 1 week -right?
