Marriott cypress harbour- any good?

Any views on the cypress marriott harbour complex. i have seen it in a brochure and it looks great. (need a 2 bed apartment cos have 2 teenagers) looks like lots to do. If it is nice, please say why. any idea of how i should book it independently or check availability without going through a trav agent. Is it expensive or how do i get the best deal? Can you smoke in US hotel rooms? Other similar complexes like this close to disney resorts also appreciated cos we are going at the start of the school hols in June.


PS Also need suggestions for nice beach ones on the gold coast for week 2 - what is a good area to start investigating - not too tacky if you know what i mean.

it is an auction owned by the same company who owns RCI (the largest exchange of timeshares).

that is where most of the timeshare inventory is coming from - RCI.

You can tell the timeshares apart - they will say 7 days only and the charge will $195 (plus $15 you will charge if you win).

You can get a good deal - but only if you are patient!!!!

Our family stayed at Cypress Harbour in January of this year. We loved it. All units there are two bed - sleep 8. There is a big master bedroom with a hot tub in the room. The second bedroom has a double bed and a bedsettee in it and then there is another bedsettee in the lounge area. They are well equipped and have a washer and a drier which we found great!! There is no restaurant onsite but there is a Pizza Hut. The I-ride trolley bus and lynx bus stop just at the bottom of the drive and is so easy to get around if you dont want to drive - very quick to get to all parks from here too (we used taxis or the iride or lynx.)
Our daughters often went out together in the evening (24 and 19)
There are three lovely pools and there is plenty to do.
We would return any time

My family and I have stayed at many of the timeshares and the Marriott Cypress harbor is our favorite. It is just the right size, great locations, many things to do for everyone, and a beautiful resort.

The Cypress Harbor sounds nice. We have been deciding between Cypress Harbour and Grande Vista. Any thoughts on which is nicer? I am particularly interested in the pools.

We stayed at Cypress Harbour twice and loved it. Refurbished suites (all are 2 bedroom) are wonderful--ask for something by the main lobby. Staff is friendly and it is a convenient place.

We stayed 4 years ago and tried really hard to get back this summer but were unable to exchange. We really loved it. The master bedroom was very large with a great whirlpool tub. My 8 year old daughter still raves about it and insisted we find another place next summer with a whirlpool tub! The kitchen was fully equipped and we cooked many meals. It has a washer and drier, which was great. The resort has 2 beautiful pools, but unfortunately it rained so much we didn't spend much time there. If you can get book a villa at cypress harbour, you will not be disappointed!

We own at Cypress Harbour. It is so nice to read that others like it as well.

As far as comparing it to GV-CH has only 2BR whereas GV has lock-offs as well. GV did not fit our family. A little too much marble and golf -I don't know! It is a lovely resort, but we liked the casual laid back atmosphere of CH, which is a large resort-w/ an island in the middle and island pool. My kids love it here. There is alot for them to do. Good luck. We will be there in Feb. and i can't wait!
We always drive and like the convenience of a car, so I can't speak about transportaion.

We have a week booked there for 1st week of May and I am really looking forward to just hanging around the resort. We are doing very littl park time that trip. All the reviews I have read, rave about it.
