Can anyone give me more info on this? Where can I find it? Which Marriott? When does the rate expire?

Thanks!!

It's the Courtyard by Marriott in Downtown Disney. The rate is from Sunday-Thursday from mid august thru October 3 for $20.03/night. You can call the hotel directly at 1-800-223-9930 and see if they have any rooms for your dates.

Good Luck!!

You need to call during the day on a weekday. After hours and on weekends that number re-directs to the Marriott corporate resevation numbers and they don't have a clue about this deal. (I am sure that is because the local franchise does not want to pay the service for booking you, there can't be much profit in this rate!)

I called yesterday 7.10.03 the person I talked to said there was no more $20 room available except a few dates in December. I had asked for July and she said none then I asked for Aug., again none, then she said only a few dates in December. :(

I have a reservation at Ctyd by Marriott from 8/31 thru Sept 5 (checkout) that I won't be using. I was told I can transfer into someone elses name. If interested send me a PM

Is there a certain code for this? I am going in December and would love that rate - more $$ to spend on the cruise afterwards :)

I called the 800 # listed above in a thread by dturner and the lady I spoke to knew what I was talking about and would book my room if it were available at that rate. I just asked for the $20 rate. Good luck! I have stayed there a couple times and while not Disney it isn't bad especially at that rate - wow. I paid $69 about 4 years ago and thought it was a good deal being so close to DTD we could walk there.

These are the dates they currently have available, according to the lady I just spoke to.
Hope this helps.

I have an extra room booked, for Sept 7-11. If anyone would be interested in taking over the reservation, please send me a private message.

The guy I just talked to on the phone said the reservations are set in stone. No cancelling, no changing and no transfering.

Thankyou! I just called after reading this thread and got the $20 rate for 7-11 december. Unfortunately we have to pay the $99 dollar rate for 6th and 12-13th december unless we want to change hotels. We've never done this before - just got to the hotel and stayed for a fortnight. Doesn't packing up and moving intrude into your holiday?
I can't decide whether to be glad for the $20 rate and swallow the $99 rate or move elsewhere for those nights .
Any advice? thanks

I'm in the same fix you are. I have the Courtyard booked for late September but need another night which would be $99.00 and I'm not sure I want to pay $99.00 for a night at the courtyard - $20.03 a night yes, so I'm right now wondering if I should try to get another night somewhere else using Priceline, if I'm going to pay $99.00 for one night at the Courtyard surely I could get a "resort" on Priceline for the same amount or less but then there's the mess of moving hotels for just one night ..... I haven't made up my mind yet as to what I'm going to do but I do have a reservation for that extra night at the Courtyard so I think I have awhile to make up my mind.

Since you need two extra nights, I would try and get something like a "resort" through Priceline or maybe just maybe Disney will release some discount codes for room only by then, if I were you I'd keep the reservation for the extra nights and keep looking around for a deal during those dates, you can always cancel the reservation for the $99.00/rate if something else comes up.

Is there any chance that I could get the CbyM rooms at a cheaper rate than $99 through priceline or somewhere? I could leave the booking as it stands for $99 just in case, but i think i read somewhere that $59 isn't out of the question.
thanks

I've also been looking for a reduced rate at the Courtyard but haven't found one yet for my weekend dates. When are you going? Maybe closer to your dates they will release a weekend rate or something, that's what I'm waiting for. Priceline would be cheaper but your not guaranteed the Courtyard when you bid, you have to be satisfied with one of the hotels in that same category, all of which are nice hotels from what I remember. Like I said earlier, I have a reservation for the $99.00 rate also and I'm keeping it until I find something else but as of right now I can't find a cheaper rate either for the weekend.

I just made my $20.03 per night reservations for December, too.

I have an old thread wit a bunch of information on Courtyard by Marriot $20.03 deal. I'll try and find it and bump it up. The serach function is down. So it may take me a while.

I'll put the link in my signature if I find it.

Does anyone know if they will hold your luggage for you if you want to check in early but your room is not ready?

Does the marriot at dd disney offer this every year? If so, If so around when does the offer come out. I have to prepare for this for next year.

thanks,

steph

Don't forget that Dreams Unlimited is currently booking the Courtyard at Downtown Disney for $39/weeknight. Also, there is a AAA discount rate of $69/night.

To got the best deal for my upcoming Sept trip, I had to book my weekdays with Dreams and wait a day and call the Courtyard to book the weekends with my AAA card. ~$370 for 7 nights (incl. tax) -- not bad for being right at DisneyWorld!

We are staying at Courtyard DTD Dec. 7-14. We got the $20.03 rate Mon-Thurs, then for Fri. and Sat. got a AAA rate of $69 per night. They put both rates together under one reservation number, so we shouldn't have to change rooms. Total cost averages out to $34 per night. Not bad.

Whatever you do, I wouldn't consider changing rooms fro the last night. You're still getting a good deal overall. You don't want the hassle of packing and moving. Plus, consider how you'll get there (the new hotel). You certainly aren't going to ride the bus with all your stuff. Depending on where you go, a taxi will cost at least $20-$30, not to mention tip. Could eat up any savings. "Moving Day" on any trip is always a pain. Just do it once. Just my opinion!

Guess I got Eathan's Mom beat--average daily rate (hers) $52 per night, mine $34 per night. Oh, well, both are great rates! Just about a month ago we had the misfortune of staying at a La Quinta for the special rate of $59 per night. What a dump! Plus, I never did get my frequent flyer miles. Still working on that one.
