My teens and I shared a 2 br 2 bath suite at the new RI LBV. one king, two queens

This hotel is out by itself in a newly developed area at the end of Palm Parkway in Lake Buena Vista. The area is very quiet, the rooms are spacious and clean. A breakfast buffet is served each morning with different sections for drinks, cold and hot foods. Just about anything you could want for breakfast was served.

O nly downside is there are no restaurants closeby so you need to drive about a mile to Palm Parkway for lunch/dinner.

Our rate of $l05 nitely thru quikbook.com for a roomy suite was a real bargain. No marriott hotel fees or energy charges.

Two minutes to I4 and then only a few miles to Disney.Pool looked very nice, no slide tho. We would definitely go back. The majority of the guests we saw were vacationing familes, not business people.

Thanks for the review, hercamore.

I went to a timeshare presentation last year on a newly developed area of Palm Parkway. How far was it from Disney? Did they offer a shuttle? Sounds like a great price for a 2 br 2ba suite!

I saw guests waiting for a shuttle. I believe there is a charge.

Turn right out of the parking lot on a new road which is an extension of Palm Parkway (don't know the name of it) about 2 minutes to I4 and then about two miles to disney signs. Saw only a few cars on this road. Very close to SeaWorld from hotel, maybe 4-5 minutes. to SeaWorld lot.

You can also turn left out of parking lot, go down Palm Parkway, turn left on SR 535 (very busy road) to SR 536 which leads right into parks. Probably l0 min. because of congested area.

YEAH!!

I am so glad to finaly hear back from someone who has stayed here!

A question about the location though. Can you tell me where it is in location to Downtown Disney?? We never take I4 to wdw. We always stay in LBV and enter over by DD. That would help me figure this out. Thanks

LisaRay, coming from dt disney, go east on hotel blvd. to where the street ends at SR 535. Crossroads shopping center will be straight ahead of you.

Turn left on SR535 from hotel blvd, 535 is a really busy road full of hotels and restaurants. Keep going for about l/2 mile and watch for palm parkway. you want to turn right on palm parkway and go straight for about 2 miles. You'll think you're lost but just keep going because palm parkway extends out into this newly developed area. The residence inn is all by itself out in the middle of nowhere on the right hand side.I would recommend finding the hotel during the day, not after dark.

You'll want to watch carefully for the sign for palm parkway because it's easy to miss the sign in all the traffic on SR 535.

Thank You.

Can you answer one more for me. I thought that the hotel was across I4 from the premium outlet mall. Is this true? As I thought I understood it if you were at the hotel you could see the mall but not get to it since there was an interstate between the two places.

If this is true that would also help me in understanding where it is. And is the Embassy Suites anywhere near it?

Thanks so much.

Sorry, I have never seen the mall you're talking about. Yes, Embassy suites is behind the RI. We could see it from the parking lot.

Could you describe the pool area a bit more? Is there a kiddie pool? Any special theming or is it a just a "concret box"? Any concessions at the pool? How is the available seating, etc? Thanks in advance.

We didn't use the pool. Just from memory, the pool is good size, very plain, no slide. Lots of deck chairs around and also tables/chairs. The pool is just outside the breakfast room. I didn't notice a kiddie pool, but I could have missed it.

I don't think there is a snack bar area area there. HOwever, the RI does have a free social hour every nite at 5:30:taco nite, pie nite, cookout nite, We were always at the parks during this time. There is also a very expensive tiny store near the front desk that sells snacks, pop, a few sundries.

Thanks for all your help.

Do you know how late they have the evening snacks out? It is a bummer that most people are in the parks when they're out and can't take advantage. Maybe we will be able to at least a couple of times.

Thanks again :)

The social hour is from 5:30 to 6:30. There is a calendar in your room with info.

I have been told to avoid I-4 like the plague. Did you take that road during the morning rush (8 or 9 am)? If so, how long did it take you to get to WDW?

Thanks!

I don't think you have to take I-4 to get to Disney from Palm Parkway. Can't you just go through Downtown Disney? Or up 535 to 536, where the Marriott World Center is?

It's probably faster to take I4 from the RI. However, since I don't like driving on the Interstate, I took Palm parkway to 535, right at 536 and straight into disney. Going down hotel blvd. is slower.
