Marriot Harbour Lake - Any recent stays?

Has anyone stayed here lately? I did a search, and some of the reviews were from when they were renovating.

The pirate ship pool area looks great - which is why I'm considering staying here for our Universal days. Though we love the Disney resorts, I know my kids would have a ton of fun at this pool (my son is particularly into pirate boats).

But I'm concerned about comments that the walls are paper thin and the rooms noisy. Has anyone experience a lot of problems with this?

Are the recreation activities expensive? I've read that there are a lot of them. Is this a good fit for both teens and little kids....ages 17, 16, 15, 14, 7, 5?

We stayed in a renovated (which I requested) 2-bedroom villa about a year ago. It was located on the ground level near the spray park and other pool. I found it to be private even along a walkway at ground level. Not noisy, and I barely heard others around us. We loved hanging out in the screened porch. Our boys, 4 & 2 loved it! The pirate ship pool was awesome. This is a great resort for families with young children. It felt like we were in the Caribbean! There were days we stayed at the resort more than planned because it was so wonderful.
