Hi everyone I was wondering if anyone coming in from out of town was sending in for there marriage license? How did it go? Are any of you planning on using this service?

We used aweddingforyou.com to get our license. It worked perfectly for us as we didn't think we would have the time (or the rental car) to get the license when we got to Florida. The entire process was very smooth, and pretty quick. Even with the back and forth it only took about 2 1/2 weeks to get everything done.

We are using them to. It is just a timing thing. I think I would rather spend the time getting a massage =)

I agree, its one less thing to worry about when you get there!

How far out from the wedding date did you submit the application?

We're planning on using Wedding For You to save on time/hassle of getting to the city to get it, etc...

But I'm just worried about when i should submit the application. I don't submit to early and get a license that'll expire before the wedding (May 26, 2006), or too late and not get it any time.

I was thinking of waiting about 70-80 days out to mail everything.

Also, how is the process? To me it sounds like:

1) you mail the applications & money order

2) They type up the license and send to you. You sign in send back.

3) They take to the courthouse to signed/approved.

4) They send you the signed copy, which you take to the wedding and give to the officiant.

5) After the wedding, the courthouse sends you the final super approved "you're now official married" license.

Is that correct?

Thanks!!

we also used a wedding for you inc. for our marriage license. it costs more but has been so much easier for us. it took about 2-3 weeks for everything & i now have the license just ready to be signed march 21st by the reverend & our witnesses. i would recommend them.

22 days until were married at wdw! :bride: :groom:

That sounds pretty easy do they just send it in the mail?

The fedex'd us all the paper work.

I don't know off hand if they'll send stuff over to the UK.

Does anyone know if they post to the UK?

Hi Laura,

Yes they do ship to the UK its costs an extra $25. I too will be doing this, I know its quite a bit extra but I dont want to waste any time obtaining it and I would be happier going knowing ive got it in my hand!
