Looking to try something different for dinner at Epcot on this trip. Has anyone recently dined at Marrakesh? Thoughts? The menu sounds really good. Any other suggestions? We love anything - but probably will not do Japan this trip as we are dining off site for Japanese.

Thank you!

Been there twice and both times got the sampler appetizer platter that allowed me to try several things in smaller portions and still filled me up. Second time, still couldn't pick just one thing. Just be sure to tell the wait staff to bring it with everyone's dinner.

I really like Moroccan food and I did like the restaurant. If you are a coffee drinker they had a Moroccan coffee that was great. It was a regular coffee with a shot of espresso and orange blossom water.

We ate lunch there in January. The atmosphere was interesting (belly dancer and all), but we weren't crazy about the food. Like everything else, it's all a matter of taste (no pun intended.):wizard:

We go most trips (it's usually an easy walk-up during lunch) and enjoy it. The entertainment is fun, the food is good and the prices are right (Disney-wise.) We each get a different dish and share so we try lots of things. My family likes it. I've been told the CS Tangerine Cafe is good as well but since the TS is available, we like to sit and listen to the music and watch the bellydancing. When my kids were little, they would always be chosen to get up and play the drums or dance on the stage. Now we just watch others' children and remember the good ol' days.

I've been eating there on occasional trips for something like 15 years, and we keep going back from time to time. I've always had wonderful service there. I've had better meals and worse ones - sometimes everything has been spot on, sometimes the chicken has been terribly dry.

We don't feel like it is a "must-do" every trip, but we like it a lot. (DS isn't crazy about Epcot, but his favorite restaurant is the Coral Reef, and if we are only choosing one meal in the World Showcase, it is almost always Bistro de Paris.)

The first time I ate at Marrakesh inspired me to buy Moroccan cookbooks and spices to experiment with... I can actually duplicate a few of the dishes pretty well these days. If you are tempted by the menu, then definitely give it a try.

I ate there in December and had the "Taste of Morroco" and it was delicious except for the couscous which I discovered I do not like. The atmosphere was fun and I would recommend trying it.

We ate here in Dec. The atmosphere was a lot of fun and my girls enjoyed dancing with the belly dancer. The food was okay, but my husband enjoyed the CS meal a lot better. Give it a try, if the menu looks good to you I'm sure you will enjoy it.

We've been going to WDW for over 20 years and never ate at Marakesh until this year. We didn't think we'd like the food, the restaurant is off the beaten path, etc. So we thought we'd try it. If it would not have been considered impolite, I would have picked up my plate and licked it clean, the food was that good. And I'm a pickey eater. Hubby had the Sultan's Special (or whatever it's called). I had a chicken dish with a side of couscous. Loved it Loved it Loved it. We did ask to sit away from the music so we could chat amongst ourselves. The service was excellent. Prices reasonable (for Disney). Give it a try.

We went in November 2008. The resteraunt itself is very pretty, the entertainment great. If you decide to go, be sure to schedule your meal when the entertainment will be there - we almost missed it ourselves.

The belly dancer even pulled my twin daughters out onto the dance floor to teach them how to belly dance. We really enjoyed our time there.

The food, was a different matter. The adult meals were fine. Very flavorful and we enjoyed it. My DDs both ordered the spaghetti, and they LOVE spaghetti . . . .whether home made, or out of can - but they didn't like this at all. They did enjoy some nibbles off my plate, as well as the bread they bring out to the table. And everyone enjoyed dessert.

I'm glad we went. It made for a nice memory, pictures, etc. And overall we wouldn't have a problem at all going back again, although my DDs would try something other than spaghetti.

We had dinner there once last year for our first time because we wanted to try something new. We were skeptical at first, but we were pleasantly surprised. We enjoyed the food very much and was also glad we got to experience the show.

How can you find out when the entertainment will be there. DS is 10 and he is just now getting girl crazy-I think he would like the belly dancers, he did at the Spirit of Aloha in December when we went.

You can look on Steve Soares website for times of most shows.

Here is what is posted for Marrakesh

Traditional Moroccan music and dance inside Restaurant Marrakesh.
Daily at 12:50, 1:50, 2:50, 5:00, 6:00, 7:00 & 8:10pm
Belly Dancer begins 10 minutes after show begins.
Length of show: 25 minutes

We had ADRs for 4:30, but my Dh got hungry early. Our travel agent had told us it was fairly easy to get into because people often stick to foods they know. So we went ahead and checked on it earlier - and they were able to take us without a problem. When we were finished eating (no show yet) the waitress was nice enough to suggest we linger as the show was about to start at 5:00 - so we didn't miss it. We enjoyed it. The music, the atmosphere - and the dancing. My then 4 year DDs just oohed and aahed over the dancer.

Probably one of the best places to eat in Epcot, I love this place.

We at there in December for the second time. The first time - we didn't know better to make ADR's and that was our only option. We were nervous, but were thrilled with our dining experience there. This time the food was great, as was the service. My only beef is that they left us sitting there after our ADR, until someone realized they made a mistake. They then squeezed us at a much smaller table than other parties over 6 were sitting at. It was a little tight!
