Marketing at Disneyland advice pls

We are due to go to Disneyland Paris next week and have been contacted today by phone. We have been asked to take part in a marketing survey will take about an hour and include a meal and will get a euro voucher or fastpass. I have got to ring back with my answer when I have spoke to hubby, so does anybody know what this will involve? Have asked my mothers advice and she insists I will be locked in a room until I sign something bad lol!

That sounds interesting. I don't think you'll be duped into signing anything aka timeshare etc - Disney don't have anything like that to try and sell you. It sounds like a genuine survey and they're offering a meal/fastpass by way of thanks for giving up your time during a holiday.

I vaguely recall someone on here doing this last year.

If it's Disney that have contacted you, then I think it would be fine.

If you are happy that it is Disney or a market research company specifically contracted by Disney then it should be okay.

For a survey that would take an hour, a meal for a family would be worth it to me on the other hand a Fast Pass (FP) would not

its nothing sinister, it sounds very like what one of our DIS'ers, kizzabel, did when she was at DLP in November .

If they were gonna sell anything, they would of been upfront about it on the phone. Sounds like they genuinely are doing some surveying - likely on how to market their new celebration mech coming up, and want some real one-on-one human opinion. DLP have been rather keen to get peoples opinions lately

Personally I would do it, if they do try to shell anything, just say no to any of it, and focus on getting the freebie and enjoying the free food. Though Disney don't really do hard sell, there's no DVC to speak of in Paris - worst they can do is try and sell some pins, or give you the chance to purchase some of the 20th merch early

I did the survey Ms Poppins!

I got €50 in vouchers which we used to pay for dinner on our last day and extra pins and christmas decorations

I had to sit in Walts Restaurant for an hour and was shown some different new types of website layout. They used a cool little machine which recorded where my eyes were drawn to on each page and asked for suggestions. It was lovely, the interviewers (two plus what I imagined was someone being shown the ropes) were so nice. The lady who did the eye movement recordings was French and the other two interviewers were American and they were all very easy company, it felt like a relaxed chat instead of research.
It was very straight forward and the hour flew. They also seemed to value any things I commented on which weren't related directly to what the survey was about.

I'd jump at the chance to do it again.

Fun! I was selected at Disneyland California last time we went to do a 2 hour survey...it was so exciting and I was paid $200. When it's done by official Disney people, there will be no hard sell. Have a good time!
