Market Day - school fundraiser

We also love Market Day. My son switched schools this year and his new school doesnt participate so I am ordering through his old school. We love love love the chicken steaks. They are individually wrapped and are trimmed so nicely so you dont have alot of prep work. Also, love the toasted ravioli, mac n cheese, vegetable fried rice, bagelers, and lots more.

PS - Just wondering if anyone has actually worked for Market Day. I looked at their job opportunities and they have some sales positions in my area that you can work from home. It is commission based. Just curious if anyone has actually done this and how the pay works and the amount of time required.

I have talked to the District Manager about taking on my account, but did not do it because they want you to be the rep for 6-8 schools so that would be 6-8 sales that you would need to be at each month. Since the sales here are always in the late afternoon or evening I was not willing to deal with finding arrangements for my children that many evenings per month.

Market day franchises their operations in each market. So I'd imagine the compensation varies. But I interviewed with them this summer. They also wanted me to take 6-8 schools and the compensation wasn't that great unless you keep increasing sales and trying to sell the other fundraisers to the groups/schools. The minimum compensation would be $50 per school per sale but could go much higher based on sales. My school made $7000 in profits from market day last year and our rep made about $1400 over 9 sales (3-4 hours at the site, 2 or so hours per sale at home/the office)...she said it was her best school- income-wise.

You will love it. I bought some for a friend's schools fundraiser about a year ago, and have been hooked ever since. We love the plum sauce, and all the soups. I just recently found out that you can order directly from their web site too.
