MARIO WII games ..??

what is a better gift idea .. for WII games..

Mario Galaxy or Mario Party 8...

for a family with 2 kids .. boy and girl....ages :10-14

I have Mario Galaxy and its kinda 2 player.. like a second player can jump in and help you collect coins and stuff but nothing else... im not very good at video games and get frusterated easy and i already gave up on it at the first boss... ive played party on game cube and like it but only when i have someone else play with.. to me its kinda boring alone.. my fiance is having a blast with galaxy tho... i think party is one of the next games we`ll get..

DD9 has both, says Mario Party 8.

Kids have been enjoying the Mario Slugger (we've rented it) as well.

If you want to have more than one play at a time Mario Party is the way to go. It is a lot of fun my 9 year old and 5 year old enjoy playing it.

Mario Kart or Mario Super Sluggers (baseball) are both fun games too.

Mario Galaxy is basically a one player game. You can have a second player, but my DD says they basically don't do much.

My kids like Mario Party 8 better.

My kids have these games and love both of them.

I played Mario Party 8 today. That game is worth the investment.

I would like Mario Galaxy. It is a role playing game (RPG).
I haven't played it yet. It is not a "family game" but more of a one person solve the puzzles game to get to the end.

Best Mario game in his opinion is Super Paper Mario because of the 2D and 3D flipping.....

DD 9 likes Mario Galaxy better than Mario Party. I don't think you can go wrong with either.

Yea but those are RPG's and they are not for everyone. Super Paper Mario is OK and it is cute. I would get Galaxy over Paper Mario though.

The reason us RPGers ran out and got the Wii was to played ZELDA.

Now that game is GREAT. Hard and very, very, very, layered.

That really is the number 1 game on the Wii if you are looking for something with some chops in an RPG.

We have Mario Party 8 and it's a good family game. DH, DD(5) and I enjoy playing each other, or you can play the computer individually. Mario Galaxy is our wish list, but more to play individually than to play all together.
