DH and I are meeting some friends at Marineland on Friday. I know we can pay the admission price using our Visa. Do I need cash for food or is the credit card okay? I have seen some information about paying extra for some closer animal encounters? Any idea on price and if it is worth it?

Thanks for any information you can provide!

I would take some cash. When we went a couple of years ago we paid around $8 for my DD to pet a Beluga.

Hi ~ You can buy a season's pass at Marineland for about $5.00 more than the regular admission price. We did that for two years in a row and camped at King Waldorf's Campground. Once we saw the dolphin and whale shows, we really just went for the rides, deer, bears and Friendship Cove.

The food at Marineland is AWEFUL. You pay a fortune for a cold hot dog on a stale bun or fatty chicken with terrible fries. The lines are HUGE at the counter service.

If you can, stop off at a grocery store up the road from Marineland and buy a few pizza buns, fruit, veggies and water. You'll feel better and it saves the lines and money.
