I thought all things considered, she did really great. Yeah, her voice is not nearly what it was when she started in 1990. She's been singing basically since when she was a kid. The songs that made her famous, all the high notes, the extremely hard whistle notes, really strained her voice over the years. It's like being an athlete. You can't do what you did in your early 20's in your late 40's. She won't be ble to hit those notes perfectly anymore. Throw in the wind chill of -7 (I can barley talk when it's below 30, let alone sing), the nerves of screwing up again, throw some credit where credit is due. Yeah she's a major diva who flaunts her boobs and jewlery, but she is one of a major singing legend (let's remember in the 90's it was always her, Whitney and Celine). The girl has 18 #1 hits...

Yeah I am a fan, but I understand she is way past her prime, but hey she still redeemed herself. ABC (and most TV stations) know she brings viewers because you never know what will happen with her...after all Rockin' Eve had it's best viewership since I think it was 2003?

The kids & I were playing UNO, so I was just barely watching.

However, I thought she sounded better than last year & about what I expected - she sounded like an aging diva who is more concerned, at this point in her career, w/ her looks & sex appeal than w/ her voice.

She probably knows her voice will fade, and it already has, so she figures if she looks good, people won’t notice bad singing.
