It’s a great deal. That’s what I booked.Following. I just received an email from Mousesavers with a great deal for stays at this hotel
I've stayed there three times and LOVED it. Everyone is so nice, the resort is clean, and it's a great location. You can see the fireworks from Magic Kingdom, Epcot and Hollywood Studios (when running) from the balconies. The pool is great and they often have live music. You can walk to the little village there to eat/shop. It is very close to the Target that you can go to for Disney shopping. It is also very close to Animal Kingdom. We like to stay a couple of days here before getting into the Disney bubble and transferring to our Disney Resort.
Thank you for sharing your experience! I am super excited to end my vacation relaxing poolside at Margaritaville 🏖. I’ll post when I return.I've stayed there three times and LOVED it. We stayed in the resort eat time. The cottages are really close and big. I liked the idea of staying in the resort to be closer to the pool and to be able to view the Disney fireworks. But I've been in the cottages and they are really nice and spacious. Thanks for this. We are going in January with a group of 6 for Marathon Weekend. We have rooms currently at Shades of Green but I was pretty disappointed in it last time with continued cutbacks from COVID. There really aren't many perks left to staying on site, so I'm thinking about just pulling the trigger on one of the 3 bedroom cottages. Were you in the hotel or one of the cottages?
Hi there -- one follow up question for you -- was the resort family-friendly or geared more toward adults? We stayed in a 4 bedroom premium cottage in April, with a private pool. It was super clean and there was plenty of room for us to spread out. The resort itself was packed and we went there once for lunch. The Sunset Promenade was great for options for dining etc. If you have any specific questions I am happy to answer them.
Honestly I think it could go either way. We were there with our children but we were in one of the rental cottages and really didn’t use the resort at all. We went over to the resort to rent bikes once but that was it. We enjoyed the Promenade where there were a couple of restaurants, stores and ice cream shops.Hi there -- one follow up question for you -- was the resort family-friendly or geared more toward adults?
I would say neutral… nothing really exciting for the kids, but nothing that as I parent I’d be put off by if I was with my family. Lobby nice but not fancy to the point kids would be uncomfortable. We were just there, did not see hardly any kids or couples really mostly convention type business people. Huge pool that kids could enjoy but no slides, lazy river type thing that kids like.Hi there -- one follow up question for you -- was the resort family-friendly or geared more toward adults?
We are going in 10 days, we have a 3 bedroom for 6 adults (2 parents, 2 kids and SO's), would have cost me close to $1k a night on property and I am getting it for around $400 per night, we will have a car. We've never stayed off-property, but I can't justify the Disney prices when I am footing the bill. I'll miss being immersed in the Disney bubble, but we are commando park goers, so I don't think it will be that impactful.
We looked at Bonnet Creek, but there weren't any 3 bedrooms available.
I'll be sure to update the group on our stay.
How far are the cottages from the rest of the resort (water park, restaurants, etc.)?We stayed in the resort eat time. The cottages are really close and big.
