Anyone know what's up with that? Website says closed for private party from 4pm - 12am on a SATURDAY.

It had to cost a small fortune for them to close that long on a weekend. I wonder if the little drink window will still be open?

It's real bummer for us because we are going to be there that weekend and our absolute favorite thing to do on a Sat is dinner and lots of Perfect Margaritas at Margaritaville and then sit outside in the chairs and watch the crowd change from the park crowd to the party crowd. It's always quite entertaining!!

:scratchin WOW!!! We'll be there this weekend as well. I would like to know also.

in April and May there seem to be alot of corporate things going on at RPR...the last two times i went...Pat obrians closed on Sat 6p-12 mid....Bob Marleys...Fri Nite 5pm to 11pm....and the whole blocks of citiwalk where Pat obrians..Marleys...Jazz place...etc for entire night on a sat for Midas muffler (last year):hippie: . It must be the same thing when you are going....Margaritaville might be closed, but the outside bar across from the resturant and the gift shop should be open...so you can probably still get in your chair watching at the time you want....good luck!

its Cinco de Mayo!!

Exactly :thumbsup2 Which is why I went to their website in the first place, I thought for sure there would be some sort of special entertainment or something for Cinco de Mayo!

I just called & it's a private party. They are not open to the public. I also called Latin Quater & they will have drink & beer specials for Cinco de Mayo. Plus a special menu.

Cool - thanks for checking. Well, it won't be a Perfect Margarita but maybe I'll find something just as Yummy! :cool1:

I wouldn't be shocked if the Lone Palm Airport and the two "drink windows" remain open, even if the main restaurant is closed.

Bummer. I hate it when they do that, though this is the first time we'll be there when the whole restaurant is closed. Normally, only the top floor or volcano bar area is closed. To take the whole restaurant is just plain piggish IMHO, and I think I'll seek out the person who did this and ... and ... ask him to adopt me and Mike for the night.

You know what, it doesn't sound like it. :( There is a difference between an "interior buy-out" and a total venue buyout. It looks like the total venue includes outside as well, and Cinco de Mayo is specified as a total venue buyout on the calendar.

:rotfl: Think they'll have room for a couple more? You know, like a package deal? :lmao:

***Editing to add I just called for Priority Seating for Friday night and there wasn't much to pick from so if anyone's planning on going, I would call today. It was either 6:45 or 8:15.

I also asked if the drink windows would be open and they said no - just the Lone Palm.
