I guess it depends on the CM's and maybe how busy the line is, but the general rule is no consumption of food/drinks whilst in line BUT if you sneak a Margarita in to help your journey along the river, I won't tell if you don't.

Somebody has to come back before my Sept 28 trip and tell me if this works. It has always worked for us in the past but it was after the change that they stopped my family. That ride is always a nice cool foot rest for us and having a nice frosty beverage along with it is
The other place I always do this is in the France movie, I always go in there with a glass of red wine, no self respecting French man is going to tell you you can't have your wine.

It's funny because at first I was trying to sing and type to get the spacing right, then I just gave up and typed a lot of la la la's.

So you're right, I was singing, and reminiscing minus the marg!

Honestly I didn't know the song was gone, that is very disappointing. My family loved to sing along! In fact when one of us starts to complain about something on the trip, we look at them and start singing "la la lalalalalalalala".

I didn't know this was a "tradition" and took a margarita on the ride last August (after the change). Nobody stopped me, but I really did it accidentally (or maybe it was an alcohol-induced accident)! I laughed about how nobody stopped me after the ride (although, I was probably giggling at just about anything at that point)!

Becca, you sang it beautifully! I was "la la"ing right along with you.

I have heard of people with margaritas being stopped since the change. Prior to that, that practically suggested you take one along for the ride.

Doesn't matter for us, DS rode it last summer after the change and refuses to go back on. I miss the indigenous people/ temple part at the beginning. I loved that.

I wonder if they stopped allowing it because it's cartoon-driven now and they don't want the conflicting image . . .

Still. I'm looking forward to trying. Maybe Capri Sun needs to make a special margarita edition.
