hello,

i am booked for disney march 12-19 but i just saw on the universal boards that they are having a mardi gras parade on march 15??? i think the crowds at disney are going to be huge due to easter, also i can get a decent rate right now with royal pacific.i can cancel my disney vacation & get a refund now.i am wondering though about crowds for this event my kids are 15 & 11.will this be toooo much for them to handle????? they have never been to mardi gras before so i know they will absolutely love it but just wondering what your thoughts are for those who have been.
thanks.

I think your kids will be fine for Mardi Gras. Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons are performing that night so I don't expect too many young locals will be there...I could be wrong. If you stay at the RPR, you will get FOTL and the lines won't be long at all. I would definately look into it.

With FOTL you should be ok.. without it, it the lines can be just as bad as Disney.

What's the decent rate at Universal and for what date? We're also going at the end of that time, and the best we've found is $324, which I don't consider decent.

i have an annual pass for universal, have had one for 3 years now,i always renew just because we never know when we will return.i did go ahead & book PBH because we have never been to this hotel yet,it is a little over 200 per night.
our tickets are already paid so we are good to go now.I just hope they are not under staffed this time because i will have a fit over this fotl thing. It is not my problem if they are understaffed. i expect to get what i pay for.

Oh well i think we are going to have fun,my kids are excited about mardi gras going on as well because they have never seen the parades before.

Don't worry...you'll have a great time and the kids will love the floats...especially after dark.

thanks,

my daughter was on here half the night looking at the PBH & at youtube looking at videos of mardis gras 2007.

we are excited about coming back & hoping they are checking passes to shorten our wait times.we have never stayed at PBH before so this is exciting as well.
