Mardi Gras

We will be there from Feb. 26 to March 4. This is our second Mardi Gras trip. We are planning to be in Epcot on Mardi Gras day and will be showing our colors!!

Athough we opted to go the 2nd week of Feb and not Mardi Gras week, I just thought I'd reply since we're all "neighbors"!

We will be there for Mardi Gras! Our group will consist of 24 people I would say just look for the purple and gold, but I have feeling there will be plenty of those colors around.
This will be our 3rd Disney trip, but our first during Mardi Gras. We're hoping for some great weather.

We had just been discussing a trip during MG holidays when Katrina hit. Our kids missed a month of school and when they first went back we were told there would be no MG holiday this year...so we didn't think about it anymore.

Just before Christmas the school board decided to give them back MG. By then, it was just too close to plan any kind of trip. We had already made up our minds to go in June.

Although we're not going, I know several families around here that are headed that way. I'll have to tell them to wear their MG "goodies" so everyone will know where there from!!!

We are from the Acadiana area and are heading for Disney World Mardi Gras week. Its our third Mardi Gras at Disney and we always see lots of folks from LA in purple, green, and gold. The only time crowds were heavy was the year President's Day and Mardi Gras fell in the same week.

Although the kids missed about a week of school after Hurricane Rita, the Mardi Gras vacation week hasn't been cut down. I know at least one other family from DD's school will be there. Others are going skiing, but I don't like the cold.

We went for MG 2005, and quite frankly, had so much fun, that we plan on going every MG, either to DL or WDW. We will be there 2/24/ - 3/1.
