Has anyone been this year yet? I have a couple planning questions I was hoping someone could answer...

I thought I read that onsite guests get a special viewing area - can anyone confirm this?

Also, the latest newsletter mentions a kids "Mardi Pardi" that happens a few times during the day. Does this tend to get busy? Is there a better time than others to try to catch it (no pun intended ;))?

And what about the "Little Jesters Viewing Area"? Is this a good place to watch with little kids or does it get crazy crowded?

Thanks!

I went last weekend but didn't do any of the things related to kids. I think they will be fine standing with you for the parade. The "special" viewing areas aren't really any better than anyplace else in my experience so just stand where you want. The children's party during the day is separate from and has nothing to do with the parade but I can't help you there.

One year I went to the onsite viewing area. We got there early and was right up front. We ended up getting lots of beads this way. One other year we did the AP viewing area and did not get as many. Then there are plenty of years we just went anywhere. This is the best option but get to a spot early.:thumbsup2

As for the kids stuff, we never did this. Our son was fine with the normal area.

Good questions OP....

I am very interested if any one can answer the questions about the Mardi Pardi for the kids. I would love to hear if anyone can tell us what it is like and what to expect.

TIA:flower3:

There's a cute little Mardi Gras show in Kidzone with Scooby, Shaggy, Man in the Hat, Curious George, Woody and Winnie. They dance and and toss out beads to the crowd. After the show the come down for pictures and autographs.

Time are listed in the park map.

Mardi Pardi will be going on until April 23rd. The showtimes are 11AM, 12PM, 1PM, 3PM, 4PM, and 5PM.
