So, I see on the crowd calendar that Universal Studios will be having Mardi Gras during our visit. Any tips for viewing locations, etc? I am sure it will be absurdly crowded during our entire experience (spring break). I did read the UniversalOrlando.com page about it. I'm sure my kids (ages 12-13) are too big for "Little Jester’s Parade Viewing Area", though they are pretty shrimpy. We'll be there March 27-29, so parade either the 27th or 28th (have to drive to Okeechobee on the 29th, caffeine will be abused).

We watched it on the outside of the parade's right turn in front of the big Universal Studios store. I chose the location mostly for a fast get-away to the exit after the parade, but it turned out to be a good spot to see everything and get lots of beads. I was with a 10- and a 13-year old, and they were able to view it all pretty well.

Our personal favorite is right in front of the horror make up show, it comes out there and returns there so you get the parade twice (if you wait for it to come back). But New York is probably the most festive.

If we're attempting the concert also, the corner in front of Jimmy Fallon works.
