Mardi Gras Parade Time

Does anyone know what time the parade will start on March 3rd?

Mardi Gras parade times:

February 11, 18: 7:30pm
February 19, 25: 8:00pm
March 3, 10, 16, 17, 23, 24, 30: 8:00pm
March 31 & April 7: 9:00pm
April 14: 9:00pm

If the parade time is at 8pm, is the concert at 8:30 and can you watch the parade and still get to the concert?

If you only watch the parade once, then you should be able to get to the concert in time. If you watch it twice, then you would probably get to the concert a few minutes after it begins.

If the parade time is at 8pm, is the concert at 8:30 and can you watch the parade and still get to the concert?

If you watch the parade from around Monsters Cafe or anywhere near the Universal Music Plaza, you should be in good shape to see both.

I was at Mardi Gras Feb 25 and my park guide lists different parade times than listed above-

Feb 19 - Feb 25: 8:00 PM
Mar 3 - Mar 30: 7:30 PM
Mar 31 - Apr 14: 8:30 PM

Feb 11 - Mar 30: 5:00 PM, 6:15 pm & 7:15 pm
Mar 31 - Apr 14: 6:00 PM, 7:15 Pm & 8:15 PM

The parade moved counterclockwise and people following it were funneled into the music plaza. I did this and actually got a decent standing place for Diana Ross.

USF is using a new crowd movement system post-parade and I think it went well. People leaving the park were directed in different direction than people staying for the concert.

If you watch the parade from where it starts or close to the middle of the route you should be able to get to the concert before it starts,you definitely will not be near the front as there are people waiting as early as 1-2pm for some of the more popular groups,but you should get there.One thing I found out this year versus years past is that in years past since Amity Island was still open the parade started by the Fear Factor show,I used to watch the parade close to the start and work my way to the concert along San Francisco and New York.This year however my plan kind of backfired since Amity is closed the parade now starts by the horror make up show where I did watch the parade from,the problem is to get to the concert you basically have to follow the parade route.I tried to get to the concert from the Make up show area first by Rodeo dr and then 8th avenue which are both blocked off towards the concert stage.In the end I had to follow the mob along the parade route but did get to the concert area before the start of the concert.

So, I went to Mardi Gras on March 3 and the park guide listed different parade times than just last Saturday-

Parade Times:
Mar. 3 - Mar. 30: 8:00 PM
Mar. 31 - Apr. 14: 9:00 PM

Why do they supply info for the future and then change it? Don't they proof read anymore?
