New this year is the children's party over by ET where they can combine character greets with Mardi Gras. This will be great for us because we'll have a 2-year old and a 4-year old on vacation.

Is the concert in the big area where there is no parade? How early do people line up for the parade? I'm planning to enter US around 5:30. Will it be difficult walking around to get a few rides in before the parade? I'm going to be there next Saturday, if that helps for knowing crowd level.

I think the parade goes by the stage for the concert. I'm not too sure about the other questions, since I've only been once during Mardi Gras. I'll be there Saturday as well, but I will be gone before the Mardi Gras parade.

I might come this weekend but not for the concert...I need to take pictures of this year's parade. I signed up for the Passholder party for Saturday. Only the headliners perform in the big stage area and KC will perform there. There is rarely a parade w/o a concert. Last year I lined up around 6:30pm and didn't have any problems with people trying to get in front of me. I'll probably get there around the same time as you but will dinner first and then stake out a parade area. The passholder area last year was a joke so I won't be going there.

Wow, 6:30. Haha, it's really not that important to me to see the parade from the first row. I wouldn't line up more than a half hour early at most.

The concerts are held in the big open area between 2 buildings on the left side of the map. You don't have to line up early at all to watch the parade so it won't be difficult walking around. Here is an updated map I just made, X marks the spot where the concert is. Again, click on the picture to enlarge it.

The park will be loaded because a lot of people will be coming in for the parade/concert. That doesn't necessarily mean the rides will be crowded, lots of the people coming in are locals who can ride whenever they want to.

Excellent! Thanks very much. I'll probably just try to walk around different parts of the park and hear the concert that way if they allow it.
