Mardi Gras on the Wonder

We will be cruising on the Wonder this year on Mardi Gras (we're from Louisiana) and I was wondering anyone has ever cruised on Mardi Gras before. What if anything to they do for Mardi Gras?

We are thinking of bringing beads, mardi gras madness with us.

Hi - We're onboard with you - and I've asked that question with no reply - however - we're bringing beads to spread the mardi gras madness around a bit ourselves (actually, I'm bringing the beads - my Husband just rolled his eyes when I told him)...We're from Gulf Coast, MS - and our first parade is this saturday!!

Haven't decided whether to hand them out at embarkation, or to wait until Tuesday - but that's castaway cay day - and maybe not the best day to do it??? What do you think??

We cruised Mardi Gras/2002 on the Magic and there were no special activities I can recalll. I'm from La. allso and thought we might see some purple, green, and gold shirts lilke you see at Disneyworld during MG week but we didn't see anyone. Wouldn't it be fun if they did a MG night or something. I can't wait until MG/2006 then I'll be on the Magic!! My MG krewe parades on Feb. 4th this year. The parade is always the Friday night before the Magic sails on Sat. so it is an extrememly busy and exciting time for us., getting to Fl. by the next morning to board.

That's too bad that they don't have something for Mardi Gras. Maybe we can change that

Why don't you join the cruise thread for your sailing on the meets board? You could organize something with the DISers & have your own MG on board. It sounds like alot of fun. I lived in Gretna on the West bank for a year & really enjoyed the month long MG celebration.
