Mardi Gras at Universal??

Anyone ever go? We've never been to Universal before, but kids really want to see the Mardi Gras parade. Is it worth it, is it fun? Any info appreciated! thanks!

Of course you should go,it's one of the best events at Universal all year.The event starts around 4 or 5pm on Saturdays with 1 or 2 Fridays thrown in.There'll be entertainers on the streets,food and music acts from New Orleans.At 8pm the parade starts by Jaws, it works its way down to the street by Mel's Diner and then by the front of the park in front of the concert stage and then turns in front of Twister and ends at the dead end by BeetleJuice.They have new awesome floats this year and I think they even get park guests to go on the floats to throw the beads.This year we caught 35-45 beads each,I go every year and probably have 20 pounds of beads in my house.After the parade the big concert will begin around 8:30 or so and last an hour and a half or so.Go because it is a very cool event.

Oh, I think you sold me on it! Yeah, really want to do this. Problem is, have some MAJOR scheduling juggling to do to fit it in... off to juggle!

There is a Universal Studios forum, you can go there to find out everything you need to know about Mardi Gras. We went to last saturday's parade and had a great time.

We went two years and had a great time. We didn't stay for the concerts because of the crowds, but the parades were terrific and we got lots of beads.
