With this year's Mardi Gras celebration starting in less than a month, I find it unusual and frustrating that the concert series lineup has yet to be announced. Any word on when the lineup will be announced or whether it'll be discontinued all together? Per Universals website: https://www.universalorlando.com/web/en/us/things-to-do/events/mardi-gras/index.html#food-and-music

Based on this, can we assume that the major performances that we've come to expect are a thing of the past? It certainly appears so. Anyone know more?

Can't shed any light, but share your pain. Really wanted to pick a weekend based upon concert schedule and DH has to get time off approved in advance at work. I finally gave up and just chose a weekend...couldn't wait any longer. I've been monitoring FB and this board, plus am on Uni's email list. Read here that others say last year, they released schedule early to mid Jan.

Last year they announced on January 12th, 2017, other years have been on Jan 13, 14th, or 15th. In 2016 they announced on January 5th. I'd expect the lineup to show up mid to late next week. If it goes much longer than that it's usually because of scheduling issues with some of the artists.

ooh I heard to be announced is a great band, see they get to play twice.

May have to take a spring trip one of these days.

Not sure how I feel about Macklemore, but I am curious to see him. Is it just one big concert (not like Disney where they play 3 small sets)?

The concerts last an hour at minimum, most are 90 minutes, and a few have ran longer than that (3 hours one time). Really depends on what the performer wants.

Have no clue who Macklemore is........actually I have only heard of The Beach Boys and Foreigner out of that list.......I must be old.......or very out of touch........

Very excited about Foreigner though.........
