Mardi Gras will run for a total of 49 consecutive nights from February 4 to March 24



Ash Wednesday isn't until March 1 this year, with Easter April 16; very interesting

How are the crowds at Mardi Gras usually, say compared to Spring Break, Summer Vacation, Christmas, etc?

Mardi Gras hits spring break. It's busy in the specific area, especially when a 'big' band.

Our 1st go-around last year was Fall Out Boy...the park was closed early as one of the few sell outs. It was truly an awful cluster of events. Would like to think they've learned a bit as to crowd control, etc. since as I havaen't seen any other consistently bad reports for other days in reviews.

Told Pit Bull was another very crowded event.

I doubt seriously they have learned anything about crowd control and I absolutely agree that it's a total cluster.

we were there for a mardi gras night this year and quickly left! My 6 yr old boy had a handful of 2 cent beads ripped form his hands by savages. very unpleasant experience.

I do want to say that it's 49 nights of parades. Only select nights will have concerts.


I'm still VERY curious how this is going to affect the new seasonal pass as its said to not include Mardi Gras. If it excluded every night during that time frame AND it's more expensive than the old power pass was? Yikes.

Weird. and Ridiculous. After the parade I found some kid and gave him mine because I didn't want to carry them around
If you're ever around when I am let me know and I'll be happy to hand mine over so you don't have to experience that again. We can create a DIS circle around the kiddos fpr safe beading!

I've had nothing but great experiences at Mardi Gras. Sure hate to hear all the bad experiences some have had.
