Mardi Gras 2/18, anyone?

It's like Deja Vu! I can't think of a more original title apparently!

I have great hopes that somehow MIB999999 will suffer a concussion of some sorts and will take me to Mardi Gras tomorrow night...since I have to go back to Boston and will most likely not be able to get back for another Mardi weekend this year...problem is, I think he would probably rather put his head in a vice than see Kid Rock! I missed Hall and Oats thanks to the weather and am really "game" for most ANY live concert...but I digress... I wish I could get them to keep MIB open for him! LOL Anyway, it's still my hope and plan to be there so I wanted to put a shoutl out again to see if anyone plans to be there...working or otherwise!

I guess I'll have to be really, REALLY nice to him and hope for the best! Just look for a really tall guy...looking like he's being tortured...with a (foot) shorter, 12 years younger, plump chick with long hair, enjoying herself...or trying to, at least, by Monster's Cafe...

I'll be there, along with half of central Florida if the scuttlebutt is any indication. Kid Rock seems to be the biggest "name" this year, and it's President's Day weekend and the Daytona 500, so I'm expecting crowds. Should be a party, tho!

I had wanted to be there this weekend (especially since long weekend for the kids) but my youngest came down with Mono! We cannot go anywhere She has been home from school for 2 weeks now. She goes to the doc's on Monday to see if she can return to school for Tuesday. I am praying that she is better by March 10th. I want to come up that weekend...

I'll be working at Shrek until about 6:30. I may watch the parade and concert afterwards since I'm getting out so early. But if anyone is there before 6:30 and I'm anywhere I can be seen, say "hi" I always get a big kick out of meeting people from the board!

LOL, I don't "get" it either, I suppose, but I guess I like the festivities that surround it all and I always enjoy live music...all that and it's not too difficult to persuade MIB9's to go to Universal...Now, if I could only get him to take me to CityWalk afterwards...LOL I'm pretty happy wherever I am, I just like peoplewatching and being "out there" and I'm truly out there!

I was there, loved the performance from Kid. I loved the energy of the performers in the parade as well. Got loads of beads. What I don't understand though is how come adults fight over who catches what beads. I saw a couple people fighting close to us over who caught a stupid necklace and literally were cussing at each other right in front of their kids. Who honestly does that kind of stuff.

Well, I'm expecting a rowdier crowd tomorrow for LL's performance and appearance. I went there today and it was pretty decent crowds but we almost walked through the lines with single entrances. I love those lines.
