Hi everyone! I have been following several of the other journals here and have been inspired by them. I think that journaling may be just the "extra something" that I need to get my rear in gear!
I am a 41 year old, married, mom of DD17, DS15, and DD11 with a full time job. Last year, I lost 42 pounds in 6 months using a combination of Atkins and exercise--mostly walking. My weight loss goal at that time was 89 pounds. Since then I maintained for a while, but have gained back 7 pounds in the last couple of months. I've been going through a lot of personal crisis, so was pretty happy to just maintain without gaining, but now....I'm ready to get back to progress! My new goal is to lose 55-60 pounds before our next WDW trip, June 2006.
I've decided to get back on the Atkins plan becasue it was easy for me to follow (LOL--as easy as this ever gets, anyway) and to re-commit to an exercise habit, starting with 30 minutes of walking, 3 times a week.
I look forward to embarking on this goal, yet again, with the kinship and encouragement of fellow DISers/WISHers making all the difference!
