One other tip if you are part of the group. Expect a lot of Hurry up and Wait and large groups have a huge amount inertia, they take for ever to get moving and are difficult to stop.

Great info from everyone. It is helping me understand what to expect. I hope others will tell us about their experiences. Sounds like they can all be a little (or a lot) different.
