Still trying to find a good time that fits in between my kids sports schedule. Any thoughts on crowds the first of March and how is the weather for swimming.

Where do you live If you're from a southern state then March may be cold for swimming

Predicting the weather almost a year away is fruitless. I see today that WDW is planning to close BB on Monday April 16th because of cold weather. I remember times in April when it was near oppressive heat. I've seen 80s in February and 50s in March. Even so - I would never have guessed that any water park in Florida would ever need to close in April due to cold temperatures - let alone the 2nd half of April.

I would say that the odds are about 50-50 around the first of March that it may be warm enough for the water parks.

As far as crowds, not too bad especially if Easter is in April. Spring Break is just beginning the first week of March so crowds just beginning to build. As far as weather, unpredictable. We were there the 2nd week of March 2016 and wore jackets & gloves the first few days and then went swimming at the end of the week.

Easter is very late next year(I think like the 22 or 23 of April ) so crowded should be good. As fair as guessing the weather I think you have just as good chsnced if picking the lotto numbers this fair out.

FYI, Mardi Gras is a bit later next year than it has been the last few years. It's 3/5 in 2019. I have never been around Mardi Gras week myself, but people tend to point to it as a higher crowd week.

We can only go during the first 2 weeks of March due to our spring break and I've found the weather can be all over the place. We've had very warm weather all the way down to pretty darn cool, and I'm from the Maritimes. So prepare for a bit of everything. As for crowds, I've found the first week to be slower than the second week.

I'm kind of amazed at how quickly the weather can change. You can't even trust the forecasts a few days out.

A few years ago we were at Typhoon Lagoon in March. The whole week was forecast to be sunny with highs of about 75-81. It was a hot and bright day, the kind that will give me a sunburn very quickly even at 10:00am. But sometime by 1:30pm, after a brief rain, the skies were cloudy and the winds were gusty. While the water was still heated and well-regulated, once getting out, it felt a bit uncomfortably cold to walk around without a shirt and we ended up leaving to eat. But by 3:00pm that afternoon, it was really hot again.
