Had a nice week in the sun from March 1st. As it was our 10th visit (no kids!) it was the first time we have been without pre-purchasing park tickets. We had been to the West Coast in September and had $900 dollars left (bought at 1.82, ah the good old days!!) so as we only wanted to go to MK and Epcot we decided to buy them at the gate.

Stayed at Courtyard Marriott at Little Lake Bryan which was nice, we always try to stay around LBV as we love Downtown.

Went to MK on the Thursday and although not packed, it was pretty busy, especially with strollers! 95% of the families with strollers are great but the rest seem to think that a stroller is a right of passage to get through the crowds and usually over my feet! (can't you tell we don't have kids!! LOL!)

Saturday at Epcot was the perfect day, parked at Boardwalk and got the boat to the International Gateway and spent the whole day in the park. Rode the new Spaceship Earth, twice, no waiting!

Couple of visits to the UK to watch The British Invasion which we always try to do, some nice food and fireworks to finish, then a quick stroll back to Boardwalk.

It is our 25th wedding anniversary next year so we are going to push the boat out and want to stay at the Contemporary in early Dec so we went and parked up and got them to show us a Tower Room with a MK view, well my other half was gobsmacked!! She loves the MK and the thought of being able to walk to the MK and the room (and you can turn on the TV when Wishes is playing and the sound comes through the TV!) was enough to seal the deal. Just need to book it now!!

Overall (apart from the MK) it was pretty quiet, the Spring Breakers had not arrived yet, shops very quiet also, even the Disney Shop at Downtown had a sale on, when did you ever see that! not many people buying in any stores really.

Anyway a very nice time was had and can't wait until Dec 2010. Better start saving then!

Sounds as though you had a fab time.

Yes the MK views are amazing, it will be worth the extra money :)

We did thanks, very relaxed, never been so chilled out on a Orlando trip, even got a cheap upgrade on the way out!

Not long until yours, hope you have a great birthday trip.

sounds fab!! We noticed the lack of spending in shops too never had to stand in a line to buy something !!

sounds like a fab trip and thin on the crowds as well :thumbsup2

dec 2010 looks to be quite a trip

Sounds like your next trip for your 25th anniversary is going to be magical for you both :thumbsup2

Glad you had a nice time. It is our 25th anniversary next year too, in July. We are always on holiday for our anniversary but next year a bit undecided when to go as both lads will be free in June when it is cheaper and we still have passes valid for Universal but I would love to over there for our Silver anniversary but more expensive and passes run out.

Thanks Guys for the kind words. Our anniversary is in May (same day as my birthday, can't forget that date then!) but we want to go to Sorrento and Capri again as we have fond memories of birthdays etc there and would like to be in a small restaurant we found overlooking the bay on the island of Capri, very romantic!!

We have been a few times to WDW in early Dec:santa: and as you say, crowds a bit lighter but with all the events going on, MVMCP, Candlelight, Osbourne etc so all the benefits without the huge crowds and price hikes!!

I'm sure Karen will explode when we get there, she is so hyper at the thought already, bless her. We started to go to WDW as an escape as she had a crazy, stressful job at the time and, in her words, it was total escapism from that world, who knew we would fall in love with the place, she has a different job now but loves going more than ever (shopping plays a big part! LOL!)

Glad you had a great trip! There's no better way to spend your 25th wedding anniversary than at WDW (IMO!! - we spent our 25th there last October and had a fantastic time).

sounds like you had a great trip, with another brilliant one in the planning stage.
