Had a nice week in the sun from March 1st. As it was our 10th visit (no kids!) it was the first time we have been without pre-purchasing park tickets. We had been to the West Coast in September and had $900 dollars left (bought at 1.82, ah the good old days!!) so as we only wanted to go to MK and Epcot we decided to buy them at the gate.
Stayed at Courtyard Marriott at Little Lake Bryan which was nice, we always try to stay around LBV as we love Downtown.
Went to MK on the Thursday and although not packed, it was pretty busy, especially with strollers! 95% of the families with strollers are great but the rest seem to think that a stroller is a right of passage to get through the crowds and usually over my feet! (can't you tell we don't have kids!! LOL!)
Saturday at Epcot was the perfect day, parked at Boardwalk and got the boat to the International Gateway and spent the whole day in the park. Rode the new Spaceship Earth, twice, no waiting!
Couple of visits to the UK to watch The British Invasion which we always try to do, some nice food and fireworks to finish, then a quick stroll back to Boardwalk.
It is our 25th wedding anniversary next year so we are going to push the boat out and want to stay at the Contemporary in early Dec so we went and parked up and got them to show us a Tower Room with a MK view, well my other half was gobsmacked!! She loves the MK and the thought of being able to walk to the MK and the room (and you can turn on the TV when Wishes is playing and the sound comes through the TV!) was enough to seal the deal. Just need to book it now!!
Overall (apart from the MK) it was pretty quiet, the Spring Breakers had not arrived yet, shops very quiet also, even the Disney Shop at Downtown had a sale on, when did you ever see that! not many people buying in any stores really.
Anyway a very nice time was had and can't wait until Dec 2010. Better start saving then!
