I'm not even sure which subgroup to post this on so forgive me if it should have been under DVC Resorts.
We are interested in booking a 2 bedroom Villa March 6-March 15, 2014. We own at AK but are interested in switching at the 7 month window to OKW, BCV, BWV or SSR (last choice). I am unfamiliar with how many 2 bedrooms each resort has in inventory. Any thoughts on the likelihood of being able to get a 2 bedroom at any of those places during the March timeframe?
I appreciate any feedback.

What is HH? Is that the main building?

Hospitality House - area where check in occurs, store, Olivia's and the themed pool. There are eight buildings in the HH area. 11, 12, 13, 14, 23, 24, 25, 26.

BCV is the smallest of the four resorts mentioned. OKW and SSr are the largest. Don't know if having two beds in the second bedroom is important to you, but remember that the only one guaranteed is OKW. SSR and BCV have those, if availiable, but BWV only has one queen bed and one sleeper sofa in the second bedroom. Your best chance for availability, IMHO, is with OKW or SSR.

On 09/02/11, I called to book March 13 - March 18, 2012. I wanted a 2BR at BCV. It wasn't available, but a 2BR at BWV was. I booked that and waitlisted two of the three 2BR possibilities at BCV (2 BR lock-off, 2BR with 2 queen in the 2nd bedroom, 2 BR with 1 queen and one sofabed in 2nd bedroom).

On 10/06/11 the waitlist came through for the BCV 2 BR with 1 queen and one sofabed.

On 02/22/12 the waitlist came through for my first choice, the BCV 2 BR with 2 queens in the second bedroom.

So can it happen? Yes. All of this happened at less than 7 months.

(Past success is not an indicator of future success, or whatever the disclaimer language should be.)

Thanks everyone. I'm glad to hear this hope for a 2 bedroom. I think we will have to decide if a second bed in the 2nd room is important or not. I was leaning toward OKW anyway. Points are more reasonable.

We don't rent a car when we are at Disney. If we aren't near the HH is that much of a hassle? I assume there are bus stops around the resort?

There is an internal bus that goes through the resort and stops at all bus stops.

How did you get three waitlists? Members are limited to two per membership per year.

Or you can hop on any bus because all buses stop at HH as the last stop.

I didn't explain it right.

BWV was available immediately. No waitlist required.

There are three different types of 2BR villas at BCV (which I'm sure Deb & Bill know, but other people might not know).

I waitlisted for 2 different types of 2BR villas at BCV.

The first waitlist came through, and it would have been okay.

The second waitlist came through later on, and that was perfect.

I didn't know I was limited to two waitlists per membership per year. I guess I thought it was two at a time, not two per year.

But I used all of my 2011, 2012 and 2013 points to put my nieces and their parents in that 2 BR. I had to bank, borrow and even buy a few extra points to get my nieces to Disney World. So the waitlist limit didn't matter - after that trip, I didn't have any points left to use on another waitlist anyway.

You are correct, two per membership at a time.

At 7 months out for anytime from March 1-15, 2013, you could have gotten a 2BR at the following: BWV boardwalk or pool/garden view, BCV, VWL, BLT theme park and lake view, OKW including at Hospitality House area, and SSR.

Thanks so much for this information. I really appreciate it. I won't stress out about the 7 month window switch. I know my daughter REALLY would like Boardwalk but I think not having 2 queen beds might be an issue. But if we can get her Beach Club she will be just as happy and will have access to that pool so even better.

Just so you know, there are 3 different booking categories of 2 bedrooms at the BCV. Only one of them (a dedicated villa & the most popular) has 2 queen beds in the second bedroom. The other dedicated category has one queen bed and a queen sleep sofa. The lock off category has 1 queen bed and a double size sleep sofa (just like all of the two bedrooms at BWV.

It's likely that the BCV two bed option won't be available at 7 months.

Both resorts are great and hopefully neither would disappoint your daughter.

Thanks for the information. I will make sure we request one with 2 queens in the second room or book OKW instead.

We have stayed at Beach Club and our daughter loved it.
