March pin event -- Who on the Dis is

This will be our first pin event.
And I listed Jessica all the way around for #1.
I didn't even list any frame sets.
It would have been nice to view the merchandise and then decide what to order. I was on the conservative side on ordering event items.
Too bad they don't display the items at City or Expo Hall when the RSPs are mailed.
I listed a few extras, but very few. A friend asked that I try to order a few items for him, and I did.

Yes DW and I are going. My #1 was 3 the Walt and Mickey because of the lower LE size, but I think the best pin is the dragons. DW's #1 was #12 Snow White poster.

Linda and I are signed up and ready to go!
Without a doubt, we want Item# 28 (LE25), so it was No. 1.
You shouldn't have any trouble getting the LE750 to 1200 pins. There aren't going to be that many people signed up for this event. You have a good shot at the LE300 and 400 sets if you listed them in the top 5.
We're keeping our fingers crossed!

I was wondering about this. Have you heard this from Disney? I was wondering how many people might be there?

DD22 and I are going to be there. It is our first pin event. We didn't put any of the sets on our lists. We really like the Great Movie Ride and the dragon pins. Do you know in advance what you will get? Or do you find out the day of the event?

Suzi, Vince, and Tony will all be attending the MGM meet! Our first choice was the framed set #28 but we definitely collect the framed sets. I am not sure about this event, but usually they let you know in advance what you have won on the RSP.

I'm not sure I really have a favorite pin, I really like the idea that there is going to be a pin from each event that ties the events together like they did the first year with the event dangles.

I was also wondering how JamesD knows there aren't that many people attending...how many are they expecting?

My first choice was #21, Tink set in film canister..but I like a lot of others too..oh my!

I'm going, hopefully Fred too. He has Navy Duty, but if he can he'll be there late.

I put #25 - Steamboat Willie Framed set as #1 for us.
Second favorite choice was the Walt with Mickey pin.
Also put in for the spinner, it looks like fun, the princess pin for mom and the Dragon pin. That's it for us. No more over spending/doing it.

We are looking forward to seeing all our pin pals!! We're staying over for sunday as I heard rumor Scoop may be doing a trial run of his new seminars! Hope so!!

DD Meg and I will be attending. We put RSP #21 (Tink in Canister) and #20 (Jumbo pin) as our first choices.

Maybe I'll finally get my first choice for a change!

Okay, I'll try to give you a BRIEF synopsis:

A pin event is a separate ticketed event held somewhere in WDW or Disneyland where you have the opportunity to pre-order Limited Edition pins and/or merchandise. Or, as we like to think of it, another way to separate you from your $$$.

On the bright side, you get to make new friends who share in your pin obsession. Sometimes, a meal is part of the event. There are trade boards set up (with some really good pins), games and tables to pin trade with others. The Disney artists that designed the pins/merchandise are generally there to sign your items.

Well, we got our RSPs back and all I can say is wow!! We have never gotten everything we asked for. We both got all 18 items on the first RSP, including the LE25 film reel framed set (#28)! And we got everything we asked for on the 2nd RSP as well. So, that means we won 3 or 4 of many of the low edition pins, even the LE750 pins! Either this indicates a low turnout, or attendees are not going after the pins.
If anyone is interested in items# 2, 10, 11, 15, 16, 17 or 18, please let me know by Thursday, so I can make the decision to keep these. Thanks!
