March or April?

Our family (2 DDs 4/1, my parents, my brother, his wife and their DS 2) was planning a trip in March (3/13 - 3/17) but spring breaker crowd is scaring us off so we are now looking at mid April (4/10 - 4/14).
If you could choose, which month would be a better choice and why (weather wise, park hours, warmer in April so swimming might be an option, etc.)? Our kids are not in school so that's not an issue.

Thanks

I'd go for late-April. The last half of April and first half of May are great times to visit WDW. The weather usually isn't too hot/humid yet, and the crowds are at very reasonable levels in those weeks between Spring Break and Memorial Day.

I agree with the late april suggestion. Not all school systems have there spring break in March... here in Georgia our's usually fall in the first half of April, so your April dates would most likely be crowded. It would be a good bet that by late April the spring break season would be over.

I've been twice in late April/early May. It's a nice time to go -- warm enough to swim but not too humid. Also, I didn't feel it was particularly crowded at this time. In fact, we've already scheduled another trip home the first week of May 2005.

With Easter at the end of March next year, the later in April you can go, the less the corwds will be IMHO.

We were there the end of March this year and it was very chilly several of the days. If you want to swim pick a later date.

That settles it. April trip it is :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

Thanks for all your responses

Same here dawn. Going the last week of april for my first visit as a DVC member ...

You can swim in March but if you can avoid Spring break crowds you are lucky! Cheaper too!
