march or april?

I've been trying to search the last couple of days - but that darn server!

Anyways - we've never been in the spring and it fits into our vacation schedule next year. I don't have kids so I really dont know when spring breaks are. Easter is the 8th of April so I know enough to stay away that week. Any suggestions for what time is better - March or April - weather wise and/or crowd wise?

When we were booking our trip, we found that the week with the least amount of availability was the week following easter day. We went from apr.8-14 this year. It was crowded, but not too unbearable (this was the week before easter sunday>) The weather was wonderful...no rain (okay, 1 quick rainfall that we missed b/c we were on a ride). The temps were in the low 80's. The day we left a heat wave hit and it was in the low 90's for the week. Have fun planning!

I went this year at the end of Feb, 1st week of March. I was just ahead of most of the springbreakers, though I did get caught in the Cheerleading champions from all over the place. I would say the first 5 days of my trip, very little crowds, till close to the second weekend, around that thurs it started getting busy with the cheerleaders and springbreakers, but still was not bad. I plan to go next time around the same time.

If you go in the first week of March you will be okay. The very last week of April isn't SO bad, but the crowds will be pretty slow that first week in March. After that you get Spring Breakers..plus the schools start letting kids out

First week of March, or one week after Easter would probably give you the least crowds for this time of year.
