IMHO, I would be thankful to just be able to go, and not be bitter about a larger crowd. To me it would be more people to share my joy with, I find it hard to complain about a good thing. I say smile and be happy that you will be there
I would just to like say that I am really miffed that disney have changed the hours . WE are travelling with three kids who will now miss the spectro parade and wishes display as there is no way they will stay awake that late !!
We choose March so the kids could get to see everything including the nighttime parades.
Still you never know they might wake up with all the noise !!

You could go back to the resort in the early afternoon and have them take naps that way they'd stay up for the parade and fireworks. Just a short nap so they go back to sleep when you go in for the night. That's what I used to do when my son was younger and it worked out fine. It may work for you and your family.
