Was just wondering if any of the regulars and experts could tell me the crowd levels for the first 2 weeks in March. We are planning a trip and will be staying off site unless I can get a good discount at RPR with my CAA. My kids are 12/9/7 and most of the roller coasters we won't be going on. We might hit one or two but it won't be all 5 of us. Thanks inadvance for the answers and I love this part of the disboard thread. I knew nothing about US 3 weeks ago and now seem to know alot more. Thanks everyone.

Historically...those weeks have been relatively quiet. The parks close at 7pm instead of 6pm so you should be good. :thumbsup2

spring break varies throughout the nation.
one of my sons has spring break the second week of march from school for 10 days. many go to florida on spring break so don't know if there would be many crowds for 09 march.

generally speaking, the beginning of march is low crowds except for the weekends. weekends always bring out more people to the park.

the CAA is the same discount as AAA for the onsite hotels.

check out the UO website. they have an interactive map for both parks. you can get an idea if a ride/attraction will be something you want to try.
book now and modify your rate when the discounts are put out.
that way you are guaranteed a room. you just have to work around the money then. if no discounts come out that you feel are justified for your dates, have a back up plan for an off site hotel set up. most places will refund any deposits if cancelled at least 5 days out from arrival date.

the parks are not based on roller coasters.
there are more in IOA but still many rides that do not have that thrill ride set up. you will find a lot of things to do with your kids in the parks.

the shows at both parks are great.

the two parks are so close to each other it is only minutes to go from one park to the other in the day.

start planning now by reading some of the stickies for suggestions and checking out the universal website.

Thanks macraven. Most Ontarians have there March break the 3rd week in March for 09. We hope to get there 5 days before the crowd and leave on the Saturday. So I 'm technically at US for a Tuesday - Saturday. Since we decided that disney wasn't going to be for us in 09, I started reading all the information on US. This website and the official US site have been very helpful. Thanks for your info.
